Woo and Wow Me the Best That You Can

She said, “Woo and wow me, the best that you can” with tubes stuck deep in each arm; He said, “I’d love to, my Valentine, but I’d hate to set off the alarm.” Valentine’s Day in a hospital bed doesn’t paint a romantic scene, but the love that he shared by just being there was the most that she’d ever seen. Fifty Valentine’s Days had passed them by since the night of their wedding vows, and every year, to them it was clear, that their love had grown deeper somehow. She closed her eyes with a smile on her face and the hand that he held fell weak; He squeezed her with one last embrace, then kissed her goodbye on the cheek.
