Won'T Let Pain Win

'Won't let pain win'

From restless mind
To restless leg
Hung out to dry
Like clothes on peg

Been many years
Since pulled all nighter
Not same kind
Now spoons* are tighter

Can't stay rested
Won't lie still
Mind can't fix
Nor doc 'scribe pill

As fight the night
Must not give in
With all my might
Won't let pain win
