Won'T Let Go

You hold her down and you never let her go
Wishes for happiness and tranquility
Wishes for feelings she will never know
But she tries her best to abandon the hostility

You patch it up and think it's ok
But it boils underneath
It will show it self another day
Just a knife waiting in its sheath

You couldn't do what had to be done
you wouldn't take no for an answer
Now she's gone, hating your guts
And you are left here to suffer

All the apologies and all the fights
They quickly come and swiftly go
Think you have solutions to make it right
But you have no clue and you don't really know

But one day it will hit you
Square in the face
That she was the perfect person
Stuck in your horrible place.

A passionate write filled with sadness. So much hurt drips from each line but it is so well written.
