Wondering Why

Wondering Why

I’m just sitting here
Wondering why
My mind is in a tizzy
I don’t even want to try
I do not want to move
From this spot upon the couch
My mood is unstable
Of that I can vouch
No one to love me
No physical touch
But to put myself out there
That is way too much
Longing for companionship
In this mental state
I hope that I snap out of it
Before the day grows late

As Benjamin Franklin was fond of quoting, "God helps those who help themselves" yet so many Americans today are unwilling to lift a finger to make their own life happier! There is always someone who will love you just the way you are, but they can't find you if you are all alone moping in your room! Good poem, though!
