Wondering Buddha
Wondering
how do I know
when to take refuge
who will tell me
when it is time to take refuge in the sangha, the dharma, the buddha...
will I know the sign when the rainbows cross the ocean
will I know the sign when the rainbows cross the sea
will I know the sign when my spirit flies with freedom
will I know the sign when I come home to me.
Wondering
how will I determine
whether enlightenment has landed like a butterfly on me
all soft and gentle
and as colourful as can be
Wondering
is this the right path I really want to take
to commit myself from now until I die
to life by the precepts and the dharma
or am I telling myself a lie?
