Wonder Why

Ever sit beneath a tree
and wonder why we're here?
Why the grass is sometimes brown
or why some things we fear?

Why no claws or giant fangs
no feathers or no wings?
Why no hide that's thick and tough
or why a robin sings?

Why are we the only ones
that have to buy supplies
Or go to see a doctor
or buy glasses for our eyes?

When you look around you
and stare at things awhile
Are there things that make you frown
or things that make you smile?

See a worm just inch along
or a falcon in full flight
Why some things taste really sour
and others taste just right?

You can wonder till the end
like many people do
It really won't change anything
the wonder, is in you

I like this, it's similar to one that I'm writing.

I think many of us have pondered upon the same things but failed to make it all rhyme as nicely as you do.

Great poetry mate...Yes the why is an open question...We spiritual beings are here in our temporary body to rise a level in the game , or perhaps to drop one?
