Women Car Drivers In Saudi Arabia

Women Car Drivers in Saudi Arabia By Elton Camp Saudi women don’t often drive a car So it’s problem for them to go far Saudi Arabia is an unusual nation Without any public transportation A taxi or private driver they must use To walk in the street they can’t choose Social stigma keeps them from the wheel There is no law with which they must deal So fear alone is what prevents their driving To overcome that pressure they are striving Women are taking it into their own hand They can drive as well as any man can The royal family generally support the change But say it is something families should arrange Until that time, a Saudi woman has to be brave If to that social pressure she’s unwilling to cave
