Woman in Red
Woman in red with your gorgeous peacock hat
You entice me in many ways, you are all that.
We don’t usually dress this well at our church.
Your finery has given our deacons' heads a lurch.
Woman in red with your fat curls and pretty hair
Please do not be annoyed if most of us stare
We do not see people dressed up as fine as you
Especially those who sit in the very first pew.
