Jack .. you can simplify..you do not need the word hears, you have sited a sound the sound of cawing. You don't want so many verbs in a haiku it is a verse meant to 'invite' the reader into a momentary sensory experience of a writer, one moment 1 action [if possible..but not 3 actions] cawing, strolling, watching...decide the subject the bird or the man. Best not to use pronouns disconnected from their nouns [I believe the 'she' is the rook? If it's a woman I think you are just trying to get too much in one haiku. [rooks, a man, and a woman?] Light & Love

sorry for the late congrats for my own contest. haha. I LOVE yours. well, I loved all of them, even the ones that didn't make my list were so fun to read and made me remember many great movies. This one I can't recall. I sure hope to see it!!

I haven't read this book, but you sure piqued my curiosity with this one, Jack! Sounds very ominous and I really enjoyed this....congrats on your win!! ;D
