Woman

Your quirks and foibles, I can deal with You are different You do not conform to societal norms, Beat to your own drum, never held down By any man's thumb You are special Ego intact from a solid upbringing You do not need to cook or clean To earn the title woman or wife You are special The shackles of society will never hold down You are too strong From you I learn every day The power of embracing my singularity For that is the springboard of life Which will catapult me into the stratosphere I am different It is our uniqueness that brings us together Makes us strong, makes us shine, Makes us special
