Wizard Love Story

As she sat on the edge of the bed
He draped her gown around her shoulders, kissed her on her forehead.

She rose to her feet her gown slipping low.
He tugged it from her playfully, then placed it on the pillow.

There was no time to dwell on the consequences.
To deny their love was too much to consider, and that was the consensus.

They made love with a passion, a passion they didn’t want to spoil.
They knew the plan to keep them apart, and this they meant to foil.

They lay gasping their bodies replete, when a low sound they heard.
Muffled voices behind the door, it was light, but quickly they stirred.

To wake that morning had been bliss, lying in the arms of a lover.
Now the bill had to be paid, they were about to be discovered.

They kissed and then did pause, not bearing that this would be the end.
They had a plan and letters ready, that they both had penned.

He held her tight, knowing now they would never part.
As he kissed he pulled the trigger, the bullet entered into her heart.

He laid her down amidst love, guilt and tears, the gun he then did turn.
One pull of the trigger was all it took, to join his love he yearned.
