Witness To a Crime

Witness to a crime
A crime of death and devotion
I’ve seen this more than once
Seen it a million times
Because love is like the front line
Where it can be conquered by madness
So, hold me, tell me
You’ll never let it die
Why can’t you see it?
I need you
To be my shield from the world
Why can’t you notice
How I see through these eyes?
Too busy watching
The war that we call life
