Without Your Lyric

strange ways,
and messed up days,
I sit and think of your
unusual behavior-
contemplation,
without initiation
I'm on the brink of
signing your waiver.

our melody's playing,
I can barely hear it...
how can I sing,
without your lyric.

a crazed mind,
I couldn't find,
and me so blind
to all your mistakes-
I try to rewind,
and pray in time,
I can give you a
serious break.

fleeting moment,
too quick to remember...
lost in atonement,
to sweet surrender.

in a haze
for days and days,
the melody plays
but no rhyme-
begin again,
losing my friend,
your memory
stays and
rings in chime.

there was this song I wrote for you,
it was a tale of your eyes so blue,
I held your feet and still you flew,
suicide took you away from me,
now for your touch I am thirsty.

mental illness,
stole you from me...
but in the stillness,
it set you free.
