Without You

I labour thru' the day
just to see your face;
you keep me off the fray
without you, i'm lost in space.

The persecution lasts a while
but you see me through;
love's drive as a child
pure heartaches leave me blue.

Just thinking of you
brings me consolation;
my tears fall as a fool
my troubles in resignation.

I look the hours to pass
till i gaze upon thee;
thence my heart dances
my soul thus set free.

Ms. K, you save me again
giving refuge in your love;
the Lord to bless maintain
His comfort oh! so soft!

If i could only thank you
i'd sail the seven seas;
till we meet in honest truth
Ms. K, love me at least.

Till the world ends in flames
my heart will still yearn;
this impossible love, not games
teaches me, much to learn.

So, as i pen these thoughts
i hope you will one day see;
i buy you not in gold or lots
i have you within, deep in me.

God hath taught me this much
to love is to override hate;
to bend the evil and sordid such
to focus on her, my salvation's made.

This cycle will last a while
till the moon turns red, i still shall smile;
love's torn apart by vile
my prayers, Ms. K, winneth' my trials.

Good night, Ms. K, i bless thee
i hope you will still see me;
tomorrow's lots, i am not free
without you, a lone, still tree.

you're too kind, Nette; thanks for dropping by, and to the Lord be glory! yes, i'm especially fond of her, but sometimes it takes a very big miracle to see this through. cheers!

Wonderful rhymes (especially lots and thoughts,through and blue, see and me as somewhat adding meaning to different levels ) rhythm and imagery (spontaneously reminding me of Robert Frost : kind of end of world in fire or frozen, if love is lost) as well the moonlight so dear to Romantic poets (moon red : spontaneously reminding Robert Burns: My heart is a red. red rose...), possible common recollections. My hormones still stamp, so I understand the feelings of the waterlily and lone tree.

thanks, Ovidiu, for your kind insight; i am grateful to the Lord for granting me this "refuge in love" in times as these; still, let us pray for joy and peace, which incidentally, is the Fruit of the Spirit! cheers!

rarely does some things in life doth bring me comfort; offer me the hope, and bring me such joy that cannot be described in words. it's nice to have a goal, and it brings me relief in times as these; refuge in love, that to me can narrow the huge rift i have to cross. goodnight! and God bless!
