Without You

Of course I miss you,
 Every single day.
I don't know how much longer
I can keep living this way.
 Every night so cold
 Every night is lonely.
I miss the warmth in your arms,
The way you know how to hold me.
I wake up in the morning
 Hoping to see your face.
 When I don't, I feel strange
 And completely out of place.
 I go about my day
 In a dream-like state,
 Wondering how in the world
 I lost my soul mate.
 Your smile consumes my thoughts
 Your laughter makes me smile.
 Everything about you
 Makes life more worthwhile.
I miss you, I love you
I need you in my life.
 The pain of your absence
 Cuts deeply like a knife.
 Sometimes, I sit idly
Wondering if you think of me
Wondering if you hurt like me
 Wondering...do you still love me??
