Without You

The every relationship gone ary
Causes me to toss, turn, and even cry
I don't sleep anymore
And what for?

Scornful bliss
I am tried of this

Just another lover
That is now just a friend
My broken heart
Nobody can mend

I am not so patient
And do not see
What is really wrong with me

Why do I get turned down so much
Beaten and torn
I walk on one crutch

Moving forward at no speed
Because you were what I truly need

If it's any comfort, I'd rather have a lover turn into a friend than into an enemy, Matthan. I know a handsome, smart, loving scientist who has spent many years alone because he was hurt by a woman he loved in school. Now he regrets having wasted so many years. You just have to keep "moving forward" until you find the right person. I, too, continue this quest. Very heartfelt write! Love, Carolyn
