Without This
A soul without a muse
is something bound to be abused
like a sword without sheath
sent to graves far beneath
A master without a guide
is something bound to hide
away the things we fear most
about this fleshy dire host
A map without a key
is something of need
to the fools who wreck their ships
to taste the siren's lips
But woe to all who have this
a poet with love and bliss
because happiness defeats the soulless muse
and a reader's heart falls to be abused
