Within Your Keep

Children bring such joy but must be minded, bus staff never let them be blind sided, at end of shift do a careful sweep, in every spot well within your keep, an owner has so many legal duties, to watch over Mum and Dad’s beauties, public transport workers never stray, it could be your offspring one day, heed the cry of every distraught parent, their pain is always real not apparent, kids are cute they really love to wander, like other human beings prone to blunder, put yourself in their shoes for one moment, being stranded such a feeling potent, they are not to know when this will end, a simple rescue might just help them mend, how could it be beyond us adults now, to make this solemn pledge an instant vow, let us adults craft a detailed search, the very young will thank us very much

Every once in a while, in a larger city they say that a child gets left on a school bus or nursery care bus which is so sad especially as one time it resulted in a death. Thanks for sharing this well thought out work. Sara K

Thank you Sara for reading this work and the time involved. I really appreciate that. It is indeed a tragic theme which I felt duty bound to comment on in a literary form Howard
