-within That Time Alone-

I sit alone this morning with God
for I know that He is here.
Though thoughts may race within my mind,
He says, "Be still and of a good cheer".

Heavy burdened and weighted down
from these thoughts which contend for His throne,
He bids me, surrender them up to Him
For my heart belongs to Him alone.

Within that time alone with Him
is a place the world knows not of.
The change that comes forth from within
is evidence of His Kingdom of Love.

Shall I not leave here the better,
having thus spent time with Him ?
The Spirit gives life, not the letter
and my understanding becomes less dim.

Another Excellent write, my dear Doug. I sometimes envy (which I know I shouldn't do) the place you go to spend time with the Good Lord. The place sounds so peaceful and tranquil. Hugs to you. ~Belinda~
