Within Her Eyes

She was fair,
with blonde hair
I saw myself
within her eyes,
she bought fortune in my life
and she was a boon to my wife,
she strode along the beach
her fingers clasped with mine,
I saw innocence
within her eyes,
she grew up to be the woman
whom I saw within her eyes.
