Within

Within a conscious wake of dreams
Flooding from within
Within subconscious eyes that seem
Clouded from within

Within the safety of my fears
Speaking from within
Within the sleeping, lifeless years
Clawing from within

Within a dying heart that knows
Denying what to think
Within the crying arms that grow
Spreading what’s within

Within the paper stained with blood
I am trapped within
Within their dream I never could
Lie again within

Within the artwork I create
Telling me what’s within
Within emotions I sedate
The mind of stone that sits within
