Withered Rose

Visions of yesterday
Still screaming in my heart
A tale of broken promises
That tore my world apart

All the borrowed memories
Of a love we used to share
Cast aside like hollow dreams
Without even a single care

Shattered dreams of tomorrow
That's stolen like a thief in the night
A world of bitter darkness
That used to shine so bright

Empty words of devotion
That echo thru my soul
A roller coaster of emotions
I no longer have control

The feeling of utter sadness
Has captured me inside
My heart is like a withered rose
Since you cast our love aside

great ending to this flow of sadness, i hope more happier things will come out of you, but that will mean something happy will have to come, but maybe i'll see in your write and i'll see the same writing flow sunnier words. good poem
