With Wounded Beasts I Walk

Happiness eluded each day
A soul no longer to be found
Painfully, I have lost my way

Lost in the jungle now I stray
No humanity, beasts surround
Hapiness eluded each day

Darkness, no shades of gray
Joy has become too profound
Painfully, I have lost my way

Useless the very words I say
I don't stand on strong ground
Happiness eluded each day

No prayers here only prey
Cries without even a sound
Painfully, I have lost my way

Losing badly, but I still play
The demons now surround
Happiness eluded each day
Painfully, I have lost my way

I'm humble about my poetry, but I saw the I don't know title and knew I needed to name this, and I was surprised. I write most things fairly quickly and rarely go back after posting, especially as of late. I must say I like this, dark, revealing, but I like. Lol
