With My Own Eyes

With my own eyes I witnessed this.
Most would have turned their head away, but I stood there transfixed.
A woman dropped her handbag on the subway track.
She jumped down on the track to get her bag back.
An incoming subway train ended her life
right then and right there right before my eyes.
Many screamed in horror, so many cried,
but I just stood there unable to move. I was paralyzed.
It wasn't until someone shook me and asked, "Are you OK Sir?"
I don't recall if I responded. I just walked off, my mind in a blur.

We saw a car wreck and no one died but there was head injuries and I still wonder about those two young men if they got better or not?

Billy, this would be a horror..If this is a real life incident and not a topic, it is good that you are writing about it to sort out your feeling..Sara
