With Her, I Wish To Be

She who is not mine
Is she who I need
For my love, I confess through each line
Though a difference, there is none
As my writings, she reads not

My heart, I throw out to her
Though ignorance, she possesses
For her focus, belongs to another
But jealous, am I not
As a better day, she seeks

My hugs, she declines
Making me yearn for her embrace
Though pain me, it does not
For her own path, she walks
Choosing to be different

My presence, causes her discomfort
Though blame her, I do not
For my flirtations, I barrage her with
As my only means of affection, it be
Professing my deciphered feelings, in each word

Cold, she is not
Though morals, she abides
For if she is to respond to my acts; read a stanza
Against herself, she would go
As her truth, she would lose
And her future, may bruise...
