With Heavy Hearts

It's selfish to have missed you
When you were called back home
You left us here and made the journey
To Heavens gate alone

As you stood before your maker
In awe and disbelief
You were freed from earthly burdens here
And the pain that's this lifes thief

You gathered back your family
Your mother and your dad
We gained an Angel in our hearts
While missing you so bad

With heavy hearts we think of you
But we lost only one
You left so many you loved here
So is my sadness wrong

If we really knew the happiness
In eternity you've gained
We'd celebrate your rebirth
And realize we are vain
