With Fingers Crossed

With fingers crossed,
I embarked upon life's contests.

With fingers crossed,
I took the tests.

With fingers crossed,
I did my best.

With fingers crossed,
I truly confessed.

With fingers crossed,
Sometimes I protested.

With fingers crossed,
I always expect nothing less.

With fingers crossed,
I made an amazing request.

Without God's touch.
I am a mess.

With or without my fingers crossed,
I always know that I am blessed.
