Witch

she was kind
but they declined
all aligned
they all left her behind
leaving her blind
for their own peace of mind
why were they so unkind?

thin as a pin
she clawed at her skin
was she really a sin?
from the devil's kin

wrists bound tight
she could not fight
she had lost sight
where was her knight?
with all his might

blood stained eyes
from all the lies
she hears no cries
she is their prize

set alight
she is burning bright
a scream from her throat begins its flight
out into the cold hard night
