Wishing On Memories
I remember
every square inch of those fields,
every single home cooked meal.
My childhood is something I miss,
goodnight kisses
and mid-western goodbyes,
Laying in the yard where fireflies fly,
looking up at the moon,
shooting stars in the night sky,
wishing on memories,
gone too soon.
