Wishing
I spend a lot of time wishing that
Some things in my life could be different.
I think there must be something more,
But I'm not sure that is what I meant.
I look everywhere for the greener grass,
That was on the other side of the fence.
I wish desperately for clarity of thought,
But it's hard to see through fog so dense.
My mind is always so cluttered,
And I am not always able to think clearly,
To end my confusion and clear away the fog,
Is a dream that I hold in my heart dearly.
I'm lost in a maze that never seems to end,
And I'm still not sure how I got in.
How am I supposed to know where I'm going,
When still I'm not sure where I have been.
