" Wishful Thinking "

Wishful thinking blooms-

Petal made of almost and

Inception that won't let go.

I seek brighter skies-

But the clouds keep

Following

Like old adventures.

Night holds my secrets-

Wishful thinking glimmering soft

Like a time worn candle.

I sigh maybe-

Unsure if my heart believes

The sound of my voice.

Still, hope rises relaxed-

Stubborn as a daybreak that keeps showing up.
