Wishes For My Daughter
WISHES FOR MY DAUGHTER .
May she travel through life easily,
Smoothly and with certainty .
May I be given the opportunity
To be with her on the journey .
May she always feel her place
With me is favored.
May I always be privileged
To see a secure smile on her face .
May she speak to me without fear
Of everything that moves her .
May I be allowed to hear her
Young voice filling my empty ear .
May her laughter be the echo-sound
Of her carefree soul’s peace .
May I recall it without cease:
And may memories of it abound .
May she suffer no pain
From my clumsy nearness .
May my delight be endless
In her pleasure and gain .
And may she find true happiness
With a perfect companion boy,
Who will share in all her joy:
As she stands there in her wedding dress.
