Wishes
What I wish for is kindness and care
What I hope for is understanding
Working together to bring us
Freedom acceptance and loving
As we join together to support
To survive the difficulties of life
And weather human greed,
Teach each other about beauty
And survival accept our strengths
Our differences, weakness, and
To plant seeds and life, train animals,
Watch and care for bees, water the world
Develop medicines, while some nail boards
Hospitals and homes I wish for kindness
In a sigh, we lost our distant neighbor quietly
Now he is gone wife and dog blocks away alone
Tomato plants uncared for weeds grown
So much gone while I hoped for kindness and care
But all now is quiet I wished I had known
