her eyes were leery, Buck thought it was directed at him not realizing she did not see him yet she turned her head and he saw her burgundy hair like his mother’s, he was fascinated by that he made a move toward her, but someone beat him to her it was his cousin, Jake, of course, it would have been Jake never lets an opportunity pass him by She turned and met Buck’s eyes, there was some connection Jake moved on to a blonde, and Buck moved a bit closer She gathered her things and left, which gave him regrets He wished he had made his move a bit sooner “Aren’t you coming?” It was her voice. She had returned for him. He realized then how wrong he had been.
