Wish You Thousand Years

I thought and thought and thought, Tried to make out what’s the best to bring forth, Couldn’t decide what to present, Something that you really find pleasant. Not much known to you am I, Nor to me are you, Unknown to your choices am I, But all I say, I tried best ………and this is for you. Hardly has it been time, That I know you, But its you, And the unconditional friendship you keep, That makes it seem Like tis been years of knowing you. Could hardly think of anything to write, For at such short notice, twasn’t possible for me to describe. But the intimacy with beauty that you share, And for the friendship that you do always care, Brings these words somehow into the moving gear. Truly do I thank HIM, To have brought you to me as friend, Do I also wish, Ever in life, should you never bend. Be just the way you’ve always been, Bright and free with colour as you’ve always been.
