Wish To Dormancy

Is this another sleepless night
as I lie awake in bed
My husband's sleeping peacefully
while thoughts run through my head

I tell myself that it's all right
but still they enter in
So I'm writing poems in hopes that I
will drift off in the den

I came back to the soup
I'm excited to be there
It worked I'm ready to descend
onto my pillow's flare
