Wish It Upon Yourself
The inevitable is exactly that,
Convince yourself it isn't quite.
Control all else to control what can't be.
Attempt to extend while length is not the purpose,
To avoid what you enjoy so you can avoid it a little longer.
Sometimes you wish it upon yourself,
Then evade as it approaches.
And wishing it upon others,
Rarely with conviction.
