Wish I Might

I wish I may, I wish I might,
Wish this wish I wish tonight.
The only star in my night sky
Shoots across my hopeful eyes.
While others lay safely in their beds,
I dream a wish inside my head.

Some may wish for warmer weather,
I wish we face the cold together.
Others wish for silver and gold,
I wish for you to have and hold.
And while you sleep safe in your bed,
I wish a wish inside my head.

This dream a wish I hold so true.
This wish a dream I have for you.
To be your night and be your day,
To make sure all that's gold will stay.
To be your light in your darkest hour,
To be your never withered flower.

I must make my wish with loving swiftness,
With only the Heavens above to be my witness.
A priceless gift I've kept so true.
A beautiful forever I have for you.
I wish I may, I wish I might
Let my words bring this to life.
