Beneath clay, roots widen their space
Nourishing  hallowed tree 
Which spreads into arms and fingers
Of  leafage and bounty--
It listens as folks tell secrets
Its wisdom, a comfort
From nature’s delicate instinct
Shading man from harsh life.
