Wisdom

My first smattering of wisdom came the day that I realized,
there was more to life than what I had.
That though I had solutions, they seldom fit life's problems,
that buddies and friends were not synonymous.
That I really had no control over anything,
that the movers and shakers in life were by God's appointment.
I could continue to drift aimlessly, or I could sail toward the lighthouse,
That it wasn't eloquent speech, or grand thoughts,
but coming to the realization that God, was in control,
and that being macho and being tough equated to the same thing,
being stupid!
Hoist sails mate!

We may gather a lot but what matter most is where we stand with him who makes all things possible. Growth begins when we realize how small we are in comparison to the vast world.
