Wired

Ted Hughes warned of telegraph wires
and their tones that empty human bones

In this more modern digital age
I wonder too, through wired rage

Whether the internet, full of trolls and ****
Can perhaps evolve beyond its scorn

And become the tool for improving life,
Sharing ideas, battling strife

As our brains melt, and the icecaps too
It seems, surely the best thing to do

Is to ditch the trolls into the sea,
Re-wire, connect and find the key

Use it to solve the problems ahead
With enlightenment, not wired dread.

I sadly enjoyed your poem David, I do concur though. One good thing, we get to read some awesome poetry that otherwise would never be seen. Cheers, Craig
