Winters Wonders

people say winter is like death
a fearful reminder of someone last breath
but have you ever sat and wondered
winters beauty and beauty wonders
the snow that falls among the ground
so light and soft it makes no sound
the branches glisten with frozen ice
with long gone birds theres many mice
a winter wonder is like a dream
theres more to it then one might seem
lights so bright and burning fire
haunting memories and memories desire
presents and christmas tree
friends and family bringing gifts for me
chistmas cake and mince pies
stockings on the bed that lye
so heres to winter and winters dream
with a beautiful season thats seems so mean
