Winters Time

With the frost on the window panes, I see the face of a love long gone. The sound of children playing in the snow used to bring me joy, Now it leaves a pain in my soul. The fire burns bright the sound of logs crackling fill the night, But all I hear is the sound of my breaking heart. The home we once shared is so lonely, How I miss the love that once was mine all because not to my heart I listened but to my mind.
