Winterfest

Wonderland of Winter beckons us "come near"
Into a fantasy filled with reindeer
Never be lonely it says to come play,
To laugh, to sing, if just for one day
Each snowflake is unique, each is the same
Reach out and touch one and give it a name
For Winter is ours to claim as we will
Ere we lose laughter or danger or thrill
Ski edges clatter on snow mixed with ice
Tomorrow is Spring, this day must suffice
