Winter Window Patterns

Hard-etched frozen windowpanes
never two adorned the same.
Soft morning light filters through
setting jeweled fronds aflame.

Bitterly cold arctic winds
blustered around overnight,
spattering frigid patterns,
ornate brush strokes of delight.

A silver sylvan forest
where fairies carouse and dance
beneath bright crystal fern flags,
an impromptu frost romance.

Sharp icy fingers crackle,
poking downward from the eaves;
a short few hours of magic
then the glory melts and leaves.

A pretty picture. Your version of a frozen windowpane is now my version, because it's not something that I see here by the beach in Southern California. It doesn't get cold enough!

Very cool take on the prompt, Faye. Creative and original. Nobody thought of this I bet . wait till you see mine. (I doubt anyone will have thought of mine. I didn't post it yet)
