Winter Thoughts

I see a blue moon arising
I hear the wolves a howling
I taste the cold on my lips
I feel the frost on my finger tips

Walking through the snow
The trees are covered in white
Not a soul nor sound
Can be heard throughout the night

The trails in the woods
The snows on the trees
The freshness of your breath
Can be seen with the breeze

At the end of the trail
The peace and the beauty
The reflecting on winter
Comes with thoughts of
Simply doing your duty
