snow falls in thick drifts
whitening our green landscape
I need a hanky

Just like with every season, I look forward to fall and winter. Could the sniffles be from playing in the snow? Nicely done.

Flu season is right around the bend and although winter paints a pure landscape the air is filled with nasty bugs. Nice haiku, Patricia -- and oh so true. Love, Carolyn
