Winter Scenery
Beautiful celestial crystals grip the earth by the neck
And all servants of shiver on the skin pore deck.
A Tit in elegance flaps her leathery wings
And sings all blessings that winter brings.
Nude trees coated by soft pile of snow
Stand in awe and worship the silvery glow.
The Robins can never be left out,
The sweethearts of the very cold sprout
Dressed in orange-red and glittering brown feathers
And offer adoration to the cold weather.
No charmer like the winter's silvery gown
That carpets the dull face of every town.
THEME: WINTER SCENERY.
For Francine Roberts' contest: A winter couplet
