Winter Scene
rainbows prohibited
Colors x ray screened let in ---
Halloween splendor
snow terns oxen bear
perplexed frightened new-born fawns ~
hungry angry yaks
fish in frozen lakes
frogs imprisoned in ice walls ~
struggling to step out
sun struggling to pierce
through hard hearted snow boulders ~
constantly clotting
leaves of birch poplar
elm maple pine oak and spruce ~
stand solemn praying
foxes hares and wolves
play endless hide and seek ~
full of optimism
