Winter Poem

Winds blowing and snow flakes swirling around

Imperfections highlighted on the ground,

Night time creates sparkling star lit skies

Trees dressed in icicles, drifts crystallise

Expecting extreme weather will we cope?

Reading poems of love give us some hope.

Painting, weaving, pictures in forms of words

Of nature, love, we weave with pen not swords,

Earths beauty, Earths rights and Earths wrongs we write

Months of winter, wet, cold, though still delight.

Nice one Roy and good luck in the contest. PS: check out my poem "Winter Magic" for that contest by the same name.
